Voting Is Important
A couple of weeks ago, I took the kids and voted in the Canadian federal election. I voted to re-elect David Christopherson - NDP Hamilton Centre, the same man I've been helping elect for 20 years.
It was voting in this election that I decided that it was important to start teaching my kids about participating in the electoral process. Even though he's only 5yo, Kieran is ready to start learning about what government is and how we choose the people we want to represent our interests.
